Police in Omagh are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was assaulted in the town.
The details have just been released but it's to have happened sometime between 1.30pm and 2pm on Saturday 8th September.
It's understood the 15-year old was in the Oasis Plaza area, above the bus depot at the time, when a lit cigarette was pushed into her face.
Constable Ryan McCullough says, "The suspect is described as a black male in his early teens, approximately 5’ 6’’, of slim build and was reported to have been wearing a white hoody.
“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or anyone who has information which may assist our investigation to ring police in Omagh on the non emergency number 101 quoting reference number 748 of the 11/09/18.”
Information can also be provided to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous.
