Local Bowler, Rachel Cochrane has been recognised by Causeway Coast and Glens council after becoming the youngest ever Indoor Bowling Association Ladies Champion.
A reception was held this week in The Mayor's Parlour in Limavady.
Rachel won four games to get through to the North West qualifiers and then won three games to reach the tense final.
The Mayor, Councillor Joan Baird OBE, spoke after the event saying, "Rachel is a true inspiration to us having achieved so much at the young age of 14.
"Having caught the bowling bug from both her grandmothers seven years ago, she has worked incredibly hard to now call herself Irish Champion.
"Her hard work, dedication and passion for the sport is very clear and she truly deserves every success that comes her way in the future."
