Major delays as a result of a death on the M2

A person has died following an incident on the M2 motorway near Newtownabbey.

Road closures still remain in place on the M2 city-bound at Sandyknowes.

The southbound on-slip at Templepatrick has now also been closed along with the northbound off-slip at Sandyknowes.

It's causing severe traffic congestion which is expected to run well into rush hour on Friday.

People are being asked to stay in their vehicles.
