A man is due in court this morning (Friday) charged with firearm offences.
It's after a man with a suspected firearm was trying to stop cars on the Comber Road on Wednesday.
Downpatrick detectives are keen to speak to people who were in the Killinchy area.
They are urging anyone who was there at around 6pm to get in contact by dialling 101.
