A 21-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged over a fire in Co Tyrone which led to police officers rescuing two adults and two children from a burning house.
Miguel Caetanito, from Canal Place, Coalisland, Co Tyrone, is charged with arson with intent to endanger life following the incident in the Cunninghams Lane area of Dungannon on Monday night.
He appeared via video link before Strabane Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
The accused made no bail application and he was remanded into custody by district judge Oonagh Mullan to appear before a court again on February 26.
A 70-year-old woman, a 37-year-old man and two children, aged seven and 10, are being treated in hospital following the blaze.
Eight police officers were also taken to hospital for smoke inhalation but have since been released
