Police have charged a 31 year old man with possession of a firearm or imitation firearm with intent to cause fear or violence; possession of offensive weapon with
intent to commit an indictable offence and threats to kill.
He is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates’ Court today.
As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
A 25 year old man who had also been arrested has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
These charges and arrests are thought to relate to an incident in the Fairway area of Larne on Wednesday, 24 May.
