Detectives in Northern Ireland have launched a murder investigation after the death of a man.
The 30-year-old died in the Parkmount Street area of north Belfast on Thursday night.
Q Radio understands the victim suffered stab wounds and was treated at the scene by members of the Northern Ireland Ambulance service.
He was then transferred to hospital where he passed away.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Local MP Nigel Dodds commented: "It is shocking to hear that a man has died after sustaining injuries on Thursday evening.
"This has caused great shock in this settled and close-knit community off North Queen Street.
"I wish to appeal for full co-operation with the police, in what is now a murder investigation.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his man's family and friends at this time of sudden bereavement."
