A man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was assaulted with a metal grate has been released on bail.
The incident happened outside a pub on Main Street in Ballygawley, Co Tyrone on Thursday evening.
The victim, who was aged in his 50s, was treated in hospital for a serious head injury.
The PSNI said the 50-year-old questioned in relation to the assault had been bailed to allow time for further police inquiries.
