Man recovering after being shot in the leg in Derry/Londonderry

A man in his thirties has been shot in the leg in Derry/Londonderry.

It happened in the Southway area of the city around half past seven last night.

Police are calling it a barbaric paramilitary-style assault.

Investigations are continuing and police are appealing to the public to come forward with information.
