Man rescued from 'deliberate' fire at house in Lisnaskea

The fire broke out at a residential premises at the Killygullan Drive area of Lisnaskea around midnight last night.

A man had to be rescued from a "deliberate" fire at a house in Linaskea last night, it's emerged.

Two fire appliances from Lisnaskea and one from Enniskillen responded to the scene on Killygullan Drive just before midnight (on Sunday 9th October).

"Fire appliances were deployed to the scene of a fire at a two storey detached house in the area. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using a covering jet and hosereel jets dealt with the incident," a spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Fire  & Rescue Service said.

"One man was rescued by Firefighters from the premises. The man was treated by colleagues from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and taken to hospital for smoke inhalation," he continued.

"Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service finished at the scene at 00:36am and the fire is being treated as deliberate," he concluded.
