A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in south Belfast on Boxing Day.
A 24-year-old male suspect has been arrested following the incident which happened in the Boucher Road area at around 2pm on Thursday December, 26.
A PSNI spokesperson said the investigation is ongoing.
"One man has been taken to hospital for treatment whilst a 24 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in custody at this time," they added.
"The investigation is at an early stage and detectives would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information which could be of assistance to contact them at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 715 26/12/19.
"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
