Man suffers serious head injuries in Banbridge fight

A man in his 40's has been left in a serious condition in hospital following a fight outside a hotel in Banbridge. 

Police were called to an altercation involving a group of people in the Lurgan Road area late on Saturday night into the early hours of yesterday morning. 

The man remains in hospital with injuries to his head and face.

Sergeant Maguire said: “A man in his 40s remains in hospital having sustained serious injuries to his head and face as a result.   

“Enquiries are continuing and we are appealing to anyone with information that could assist our investigation to contact us on 101
