The latest figures released by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency show that one death involving Covid-19 occurred in the week 19th June to 25th June 2021.
The total number of Covid-19 related deaths that occurred up in Northern Ireland to 25th June 2021 has now reached 2,981.
Of these, 1,974 took place in hospitals, 776 in care homes, 14 in hospices and 217 at residential addresses or other locations.
In comparison, the Department of Health has recorded 2,155 Coronavirus deaths in the same period.
The department of health's figures are based on patients having previously tested positive for the virus, whereas the NISRA figures are based on the information entered on death certificates completed by medical professionals.
The total number of Covid-19 related deaths registered to 25th June 2021 has now reached 2,981 according to NISRA.
