Yesterday, The New Horizons Partnership opened a new canteen at the Derry City and Strabane District Council office on the Derry Road in Strabane.
The Strabane based initiative offers a comprehensive range of support and services to individuals with learning disabilities through a network of community based projects in Counties Donegal, Derry and Tyrone.
As well as their portfolio of social enterprises, the New Horizons Partnership has a number of multi-purpose hub facilities in Buncrana and Letterkenny.
Clients are a part of the partnership, first have their needs assessed before a suitable training programme and employment path is mapped out with them through a person centred planning approach.
Staff at New Horizons Partnership provide a supportive environment that enables each person with a learning disability to achieve a sense of fulfilment and become a valued and respected member of their community.
The New Horizons Partnership, as an organisation has been founded on the concept of working in partnership with others for the benefit of its clients.
Since inception all their activities have a high level of community involvement and are strongly supported in the Strabane area.
