A commemorative plaque is to be installed to honour late tour guide, Martin McCrossan.
Known locally as 'Mr Derry', he passed away in February 2015 following a short illness.
Derry City and Strabane District Council have agreed to provide up to £2,000 for the installation.
It will be displayed outside Foyleside Shopping Centre, where Mr McCrossan often began his route.
The award-winning City Tours were popular with visitors from around the world with actor Will Ferrell among those to follow the distinctive yellow jackets around the city.
