With the good weather this week, police in Mid-Ulster are issuing a timely reminder to householders to make sure all doors and windows are secured.
They say open doors and windows are an invitation to burglars.
Valuables left on display in cars are also extremely tempting for an unscrupulous thief.
They advise never leaving your handbag, electronics or other valuables in sight.
The warning comes following a spate of thefts at Park and Rides in Dungannon and Maghera.
