Over 100 calls for assistance and 9 arrests at weekend in Mid Ulster

Mid Ulster police say they've worked extremely hard over the weekend with 105 calls for assistance from the public.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said they had: 

  • 5 reports of assault
     
  • 11 anti-social behaviour
     
  • 7 concerns for safety
     
  • 10 road traffic collisions
     
  • 4 various traffic offences 
     
  • 1 missing person 
     
  • 1 assistance to Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service 
     
  • 4 incidents of theft

As a result, PSNI were forced to make 9 arrests during the weekend period. 

Among the chaos, the local police assisted the turning on of the Christmas lights and attended the market in Magherafelt where they handed out advice.
