Policing and community safety patrols in Kilkeel have been stepped up in response to a surge in antisocial behaviour.
Young people have been intimidating locals as they use the Riverwalk.
Some have also caused criminal damage to nearby homes and businesses, using grafitti and smashing windows.
Numerous complaints led to a multi-agency meeting that was hosted at Kilkeel High School.
Police have warned parents and young people of the consequences of antisocial behaviour in the area.
PCSP Chair Councillor Quinn continued, "Anyone with any information in relation to anti-social behaviour occurring at Riverwalk to report this by telephoning 101 and speaking to the Police or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
