The Western Trust has applied for planning permission for new car parking at the South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen.
Although they currently have 978 spaces, they've recently come under fire for introducing new parking measures and increasing charges.
The proposed plan is to realign the parking they have at the minute so they can add 46 more spaces across four locations at the hospital.
A spokesman for the trade union says they've been asking for new parking for quite a while as there's not enough.
They've received complaints in the past about the lack of parking and the fact that patients are told to allow approximately 30 minutes for parking if they have an appointment.
The Unision Trade Union has protested before about the new parking measures and the increase of charges.
They're now welcoming the plan for new parking.
