The PSNI say flare let off in the away end with further flares thrown after the match
A flare was let off inside the away end of the Showgrounds, during Coleraine's 2-2 draw with Glenavon on Saturday afternoon. Police have stressed that it was a small minority of the away fans who were responsible for the incident.
The PSNI added that after the full time whistle, further flares were thrown onto the Ballycastle Road which runs adjacent to the stadium. Police have launched an investigation into the incident and ask that anybody with any information, contact the non-emergency 101 number.
The police were also quick to praise the behaviour of the majority of fans. They praised an excellent atmosphere and commended the patience of Coleraine fans when exiting the ground.
