PSNI Fermanagh's Facebook page cause a stir after Sergeant assists cow with road-side birth.
The PSNI may have been caught up in a social media storm of a different kind over the weekend..
But - it was officers online in Fermanagh causing a stir of a totally different variety.
The PSNI Fermanagh Facebook page received around five thousand likes on a series of posts yesterday after a Sergeant, while on patrol in the Florence Court area, stopped by the roadside to help assist a cow giving birth!
The officer - "never one to leave a female in distress" - delivered the calf and then having promised to post "photographic evidence" of the moment if they got enough likes, did indeed do so.

Having only asked for a hundred likes Fermanagh's officers were inundated with over three and a half thousand! Photos of the jaw-dropping and slightly heart-warming episode were then duly uploaded.

Causing a slew of likes and comments of support for the officer involved - one things for sure they're not going to forget this in a hurry!
