Police in Cookstown recently received a delivery of special "Trauma Teddies", that were handmade and donated by the locally based group MUVE (Mid Ulster Victims' Empowerment).
A spokesperson for the PSNI says:
"The team will be making use of these teddy bears when dealing with any traumatic incident involving children or vulnerable adults as use as a distractor.
"Such incidents could be road traffic collisions, domestic violence, lost children and many more.
"We see these as nothing but another positive tool to be used while keeping people safe."
