Two police officers have been injured after thier patrol car was rammed by a stolen vehicle in Co.Down.
It happened in the bog road area of Kilkeel in the early hours of this morning.
A blue coloured Toyota used in the incident had been stolen from a private house in the area a short time earlier
It was later found burnt out in Newcastle.
Officers initially noted two suspicious vehicles acting suspiciously in the area.
Upon approach, one of the vehicles made off, but was found in the middle of the road with it's light's off after being pursued by a patrol car.
The vehicle then reversed at speed into the police car causing significant frontal damage and injuring two officers before speeding off.
