'Rally for Remain' held outside Belfast City Hall

People who voted to stay in the European Union have joined a 'Rally for Remain' in Belfast City Centre.

Organisers said it was crucial that their voices are heard as the Brexit talks reach a critical stage.

Belfast Mayor, Deidre Hargey was among those who spoke on stage to the crowd which gathered by City Hall.

Afterwards, she told Q Radio that Brexiteers can't just ignore the Good Friday Agreement.

The organisers of a rally in London calling for a so-called People's Vote say more than 500,000 people have taken to the streets to back their message this afternoon.

Meanwhile, in Yorkshire former UKIP Leader, Nigel Farage has been leading a 'Save Brexit' rally.

He told reporters, "I think if there was a second referendum you would see a wave of public anger and I think collectively the British people would stick two fingers up to the establishment. I think we'd vote to leave by a much bigger margin".
