A man has escaped injury following a shooting in North Belfast.
Shots were fired at the door of a property in Upper Meadow Street shortly after 7.30 last night.
The occupant, who's in his 30's, was left shaken but was not physically hurt.
Detective Sergeant Kelly said: “Whilst nobody was injured as a result of this shooting, it was a reckless act that could have easily resulted in death or serious injury.
"It's yet another example of how criminal groups seek to control communities through fear and violence.
"I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Musgrave Police Station"
