An ambitious plan has been put forward to transform the site of St. Julian's Park in Omagh.
Under new proposals, the former home of Omagh Town Football Club, would be transformed into a public park and amenity area.
The scheme was set to get inital approval, at a meeting of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council's Environmental Services committee last night.
Funding for the scheme is to come from a £350,000 fund taken from landfill tax credits.
The former stadium has fallen into a bad state of disrepair since the demise of former tennants.
