Police investigating an incident of anti-social driving in Galliagh have arrested an 18 year old man.
A local shop was forced to close and homes put at risk after a car was set alight close to the properties last week.
Firefighters attending the blaze were later forced to flee the area after they came under attack.
The teenager was detained on suspicion of a number of offences including dangerous driving, arson endangering life, no insurance, no L plates and driving unaccompanied.
