Three men have broken into a shop in the Main Street area of Maguiresbridge with the intention of robbing it.
Police say the trio entered the premises before 2am this morning with an axe.
They caused damage to an internal ATM machine, however ended up leaving empty handed.
The suspects were described as wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered.
PSNI is appealing to anyone who was in the area between 11pm and 2am, or those with information.
