Three men have been arrested by detectives investigating the rape and murder of Lorraine McCausland in 1987.
Two men aged 49 and 56 were arrested in Scotland while a 53 year old was detained in England.
They will be brought to Northern Ireland for questioning.
The 23 year old woman was returning from a night out in a loyalist drinking den before she was attacked in north Belfast.
The mother-of-two's body was found beside a stream in Forthriver on 8 March 1987.
Police believe she was sexually assaulted in the club before she was attacked and dumped near a river.
Detective Inspector Michelle Griffin would appeal to anyone who has any information about this incident to contact Detectives on the non-emergency number 101.
