Two men have been arrested in connection to an incident where a man sustained stab wounds in west Belfast.
It happened on the Stewartstown Road this afternoon.
Police say the road has been closed at the Michael Ferguson roundabout as they conduct enquiries.
Motorists are asked to seek an alternative route.
There are no further details at this time.
Meanwhile, West Belfast MP Paul Maskey has hit out at those involved in the incident.
He said, "The stabbing of a man in west Belfast this afternoon is absolutely reprehensible and has to be condemned.
"These actions have no place in our society, especially at a time when our health service and community is fighting back in a resurgence of covid-19.
"I wish the man who was stabbed a speedy recovery.
"I would urge anyone with information about this incident to bring it forward to the PSNI."
