Two men have been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of Brian McIlhagga in Co Antrim.
The 42-year-old father of five was beaten and shot by a group of masked assailants who dragged him from a house in Riverview Park in Ballymoney in January 2015.
A 33-year-old woman who lived in the house was also assaulted by the gang and four children in the property were traumatised.
The PSNI said both suspects, aged 45 and 41, were detained in North Antrim on Tuesday and were being questioned.
Officers are also investigating a paramilitary-style shooting in March 2015.
Detective Chief Inspector Michael Harvey said: "Both males were arrested in the North Antrim area today and were taken to the serious crime suite where they are currently assisting police with their inquiries.
"Detectives also carried out two searches and a number of items were seized."
