Two men aged in their 60s have been arrested in Co Down on suspicion of historic child abuse.
The suspects, aged 60 and 67, were detained in Newtownards and Ardglass on Thursday morning.
A PSNI spokesman said: "This is in relation to an investigation into allegations of serious historical sexual child abuse."
Officers from the PSNI Public Protection Branch were involved in the arrest operation.
The men have been taken to Antrim police station.
