Detectives are appealing for information following a report of a violent burglary in Saintfield on Thursday 29th May.
Detective Sergeant Johnston said: “At approximately 9.20pm, we received a report that four masked men, one armed with a crowbar, had forced entry into a house in the Woodrow Gardens area.
“One of the men held the resident in a room, while the other ransacked the property.
“A substantial amount of cash was taken and the men made off in a dark coloured car.
“The victim wasn’t injured, however has been left badly shaken by their ordeal.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnesses anyone suspicious in the area or to anyone with CCTV, dash-cam or other footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 1643 29/05/25.
