"There's a worrying trend of crimes being committed here by criminal gangs from the south".
Newry and Armagh MLA Danny Kennedy was speaking after a seventeen-year-old girl was robbed at gunpoint.
He says he acknowledges the leaps police have made with diminished resources,
but more action's needed to prevent further 'nasty, distressing' attacks.
Speaking to Q Radio earlier he said, "There seems to be continuing concern that criminal gangs from the Republic of Ireland are travelling up the A1 into Northern Ireland... accessing houses and they're able then to return south almost without let or hindrance."
