Glenavon came from behind to beat Glentoran 3-1 at the Oval on Tuesday night in the Danske Bank Premiership.

It means the second-placed Lurgan Blues are now five points behind leaders Coleraine.

Robbie McDaid put the home side in front, but his former club were level within a minute with top scorer Andrew Mitchell netting his 11th league goal of the season.

Sammy Clingan clinched victory by grabbing a late double from the penalty spot - here's Glenavon coach, Kris Lindsay.

Glens manager Gary Haveron.

Rival manager Gary Hamilton was one of 10 players booked, five from each side.

Coach Lindsay says the boss made an impact after bringing himself on as a second-half sub.

The League Cup quarter-finals take centre stage on Wednesday night with the ties including Crusaders against Linfield at Seaview.

David Healy's men go into the game on the back of a poor run of results, including defeat at Ballymena last Friday night.

However, Crues midfielder Matthew Snoddy is wary of the wounded visitors.

Holders Ballymena host Ards, in-form Cliftonville go to Carrick and Dungannon Swifts entertain the only Championship survivors, Ballyclare Comrades.
