In the Allianz football league, Down pulled off a win against Derry in Division Two.  They beat the Red Hands 1-15 to seven points.

In hurling, Derry were beaten by Wicklow 1-11 to 1-21.

This was Colm McGurk's home debut as Derry senior hurling manager.

 And Tyrone overcame Donegal by five points in O’Donnell Park.  The scoreline in yesterday’s National Hurling League division 3A clash was 2-14 to 15 points.
