4 men have been arrested following disturbances in the Helen's Bay area in the early hours of this morning.
Police received numerous reports of a gang of men acting suspiciously at cars parked on the Craigdarragh Road area shortly after 1am on Thursday morning.
Four people, aged 15, 17, 18 and 22 were all arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including vehicle interference, criminal damage and obstructing police.
All four remain in police custody at this time.
Sergeant James Rea said: “This is a great example of policing with the community. The prompt report to police by members of the public allowed officers to locate the suspects and take swift, appropriate action.
"I would encourage anyone witnessing suspicious activity to report it to police immediately on 101 or in the case of an emergency on 999."
