Sports clubs across the region have been given defibrillators.

It's part of a Sports NI scheme to increase the number of devices in the community settings.

115 were distributed in the Newry, Mourne and Down district, with 300 handed out across Northern Ireland.

Council Chairperson, Gillian Fitzpatrick said, “I was very impressed with the turn out from clubs who applied for these lifesaving machines”.
