3 staff members from Ward 40 at Altnagelvin Hospital have tested positive for COVID-19.
15 other staff are also self isolating as a precaution following the outbreak.
All 23 patients on the elderly stroke ward have now been tested, but all results have come back negative.
Speaking about the outbreak:
Dr Bob Brown, Director of Primary Care and Older Peoples Services, Western Health and Social Care Trust, said:
The Trust is taking all the necessary infection prevention and control measures to protect our patients and staff and the Department of Health and Public Health Agency have been informed of the situation.”
