Now with schools back soon cash-strapped families are being urged to apply for school uniform grants.

Eligible families can receive an Education Authority grant of up to £51 per uniform for seconary schools and £35.75 per primary school uniform.

But as Coleraine Councillor Russell Watton told Q Radio's Roger Donnelly, few families seem to know about the scheme:
