Jonathan Gray, principal of Arvalee School and Resource Centre, says the school are looking to the future after host of Stormont ministers visit school on day of official unveiling.

Arvalee School celebrated an "opening celebration" at its new home on the Strule Shared Education Campus in Omagh yesterday.

The school is the first of six local schools to be relocated to the multi-million pound development sited on the old Lisnelly Army Barracks.

The Campus is a committment for the Northern Ireland Executive - and is hoped to be fully operational by 2020.

The new Arvalee School and Resource Centre was officially unveiled by a trio of Stormont ministers - the First and deputy First Ministers were joined by the Education Minister, Peter Weir for the visit to the new school building.

Arvalee, which supports youngsters with moderate to severe learning difficulties, was lauded by all three - for its work and ethos.

Last month Arvalee opened its doors officially at the start of term time - and it's been quite a journey for the special school up to this point.

Four years ago, fire had destroyed the school's original building.
