'Attempted murder' arrest after Newcastle stabbing

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two men were stabbed in Newcastle.

It's understood to have happened close to a bar on the Bryansford Road last night, just before Midnight.

The pair have been left in hospital as police continue to question the 21-year-old suspect.

PSNI Detective Sergeant Johnston said: "Detectives are appealing for anyone with information or who may have dash-cam footage regarding this crime to get in touch on 101, quoting reference number 6 22/12/18."
