Masked men have assaulted a man during an aggravated burglary in North Belfast.
It's after the gang burst in to the house in Upper Meadow Street around 10 last night.
One of the intruders was armed with a hammer.
The occupant of the house was taken to hospital with injuries which aren't thought to be life threatening.
Detective Sergeant Stephen Gardiner has appealed to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information which could assist police with their enquiries to contact detectives at Musgrave on 101
