The Lord Mayor of Belfast has urged people in the city to "throw their arms" around muslims in the wake of the terrorist attack in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Councillor Deirdre Hargey was speaking after she opened a Book of Condolence for the victims of the attack at City Hall.
The Lord Mayor signed the book along with Dr.Mohamed Saleem Tareen of the Belfast islamic centre.

Dr. Tareen says moslims in Northern Ireland are small in number and sometimes feel vulnerable just like the Christchurch Muslim population.
He said he was inspired by the positive comments he had received in the wake of the New Zealand massacre.
