Some Bessbrook students school have raised the alarm about an app that can be used to cyber bully.

Simsimi is a social networking smart phone app that enables users to "teach" it words and allows it to copy their speech.

It also answers back, and messages can be sent anonymously using it.

Police in the area have issued a warning to parents about it, saying it gives them "great cause for concern", and they have reported it to App Store.

Simsimi has suspended its use in Ireland.
