A bill giving civil servants in Northern Ireland more decision making power will be progressed through Westminster later.
The Secretary of State, Karen Bradley is trying to pass legislation as quickly as possible in the absence of an executive.
This bill should provide more clarity of the kinds of decisions civil servants can make.
The legislation provides for a five month period up to 26 March.
Provisions have also been made to extend the period for a further five months.
It's hoped that once the legislation is passed, it will give political parties the chance to form an executive, by removing Karen Bradley's obligation to call an Assembly election.
