Officers investigating the disappearance of a pensioner in Belfast have confirmed a body has been found in the south of the city.

Appeals had been made this week for help in locating 8--year-old Andrew Robert Clement Bell.

Police say a body was found at a house in the Stranmillis area last night during the investigation.

The PSNI says a formal identification and post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

There are no further details at this stage.
