Cabinet ministers are understood to have been told the UK Government Brexit Negotiating position on issues in Northern Ireland.

Sky News has reported they have been asked to sign documents to give the Prime Minister a united front before more talks with the Brussels.

They are said to have also been asked to back the PM's position on the customs union.

Sky's Senior Political Correspondent has suggested Theresa May has timed the release with the parliamentary Summer recess.

She said: "If you put out all this stuff in recess you do it at a time when ministers and backbenches are all away from parliament away from Westminster. People have time to digest this without the febrile nature of the chamber and people gossiping".
