A 30 year old Coleraine man is beginning a three month prison term after being prosecuted by Council for animal cruelty.
Russell Morrow has been sentenced at Coleraine Magistrates Court for causing unnecessary suffering to two horses in 2013 and neglecting two others.
One of the horses was destroyed at the scene, three others subsequently.
Morrow was also disqualified from keeping horses for five years and ordered to pay £225 costs.
