Covid-19: Three deaths, 707 new cases

Three more people have died after having tested positive for Covid-19, with two of the deaths occurring outside the most recent 24-hour reporting period.

There are 390 people in hospital and two of them are in ICU.

No Covid patients are being ventilated.

707 positive cases have been reported in the past 24 hours.

According to the Office for National Statistics, an estimated 72% of the Northern Ireland population had Covid-19 between July 2020 and February of this year.

Infection levels have dropped for a second week, with one in 30 estimated to have had the virus last week, down from one in 19 the previous week.

The death toll is 3,405 and 10 hospitals are operating over capacity today.

There are 106 care home outbreaks.
